Description
The Nike KD 17 "Penny" is a colorway of Kevin Durant’s seventeenth signature shoe with Nike Basketball inspired by aesthetics from the Nike Air Penny line. Inspired by the colors of the Orlando Magic, the team that drafted Anfernee “Penny” Hardaway in the mid-90s, the “Penny” Nike KD 17 has a white, black, and royal color scheme. Moreover, the Nike KD 17’s silhouette features wavy vertical lines that are reminiscent of the Nike Air Max Plus’s thermoplastic “veins.” The upper is complete with a knit textile construction and, as mentioned, wavy Game Royal TPU overlays. The curvy black lines in the white Swoosh are a nod to the design of the Swoosh logo found on early Nike Air Penny models. Durant’s signature branding appears on the tongue.
